When I posted last, we had just arrived in Bushnell with a leaking radiator hose. That was October 30th.
We had Halloween, two Escapee Chapter Rallies at the park, saw the last nighttime launch of the space shuttle at Cape Canaveral, played LOTS of games, and watched some of our new friends come and go. The whole month of November just flew by.
Before most of the stuff got going the park was pretty empty, and we had almost a whole week of nice "Florida" weather. We had a number of days in the low 80's and lots of sunshine.
While we were just hanging around, I got a couple of fairly close pictures of the Sand Hill Cranes that live here.

The Escapees Chapter 27 (Northern Florida) hosted the first rally at Sumter Oaks and Connie and I were "adopted" for their Chapter and also for the Chapter 15 Rally later the same week.
Adoption is done by an existing member helping the new members get accustomed to the organization. We didn't really need a lot of help, cuz we're pretty familiar with Escapees now, but it did make us feel good that people actually wanted to adopt us. ;-)
The Chapter 27 Rally was headed up by Larry and Carolyn Jarvis. Larry is the Chapter President and Carolyn offered to "Host" the Rally. I'll let you decide what the theme was. :-)
During the Rally, Connie volunteered us to become the caretakers for the Chapter 27 mascot, Allie. We will be taking Allie with us when we travel and keep a log of those places we go, including pictures. Allie and Allen seem to be having some fraternal issues. hee hee
We had a number of friends in the park come over to our place for Connie's Lasagna. We had 10 people there, and as usual, we probably could have fed another 10. It was a good time and everyone had stuff to take with them if they wanted it.
Then there was a Thanksgiving feast for everyone here and December has arrived. phew
There a few other things going on while we're here, but I'll get this up and let you know that I'll be posting about our trip to Titusville for the launch next.ttfn
